What’s up, explorers? We know you’ve all been waiting for this so we’re super thrilled to share that Iskra will launch World of Win’s initial game offering (IGO) on the Iskra Launchpad!
What Is an IGO and What Is Iskra’s Approach?
An initial game offering provides opportunities for the project’s community to support it at an early stage and bank on its potential once the project is launched and its token is listed on major exchanges.
One key difference with Iskra’s first IGO on its launchpad is that the IGO price of $0.005 is BELOW the private sale price of $0.02. This information will be available soon on Cryptorank.
Typically IGOs are used to raise funding and provide a major benefit for early investors. Sometimes, this may lead to negative results and perceptions when executed poorly.
Iskra is re-defining the IGO for Web3 games by improving participation with a low price but managing a limited sale to protect future tokenomics. The idea is to use the IGO truly as a launch event to kick off the game and focus on the longer-term potential of the product.
How Will the World of Win IGO Work?
The IGO event is divided into Pioneer Round and Explorer Round.
IGO tokens are locked and will start vesting once the second IGO is completed. Vesting frequency is 12x in 12 months.
How Do You Participate in the IGO?
The Pioneer Round is exclusively for Iskra P-NFT holders or anyone holding 60,000 CP, while the Explorer Round is open to any Iskra community member that holds Contribution Points.
Here are two SAMPLE SCENARIOS of how the IGO will play out in the Pioneer Round and the Explorer Round:
Pioneer Round
- Purchase $100 worth of WOW tokens. If the allocation does not sell out, you’ll get $100 worth of WOW tokens (20,000 WOW tokens).
- Purchase $100 worth of WOW tokens. If the allocation is sold out and there is more demand, you will get your share of the available supply depending on your contribution. If your contribution is 10% of the total amount subscribed, you will get 10% of the WOW token supply or 100,000 WOW tokens. You will be refunded the balance of the amount that you were not able to purchase in this case.
Explorer Round
- Purchase $100 worth of raffle tickets. If the allocation does not sell out, then you get $100 worth of WOW tokens (20,000 WOW tokens)
- Purchase $100 worth of raffle tickets. If the allocation is sold out and there is more demand, your 100 raffle tickets will go into a raffle with everyone else’s. Out of that total amount of tickets, 5,000 tickets will be drawn and the winner of those tickets will be given $1 worth of WOW tokens per ticket won. If all 100 of your raffle tickets are chosen, you will be allowed to obtain $100 worth of WOW tokens (20,000 WOW tokens). Likewise you could only buy 1 ticket or $1 worth of Wow Tokens (200 WOW tokens), or possibly even none.
Benefits of WOW Tokens
WOW is operated with both crypto and non-crypto currencies, which gives users the option on whether or not they want to be a token holder.
While you can enjoy what WOW has to offer without owning WOW tokens, token holders can bid for a chance to win more when playing tournament games.
WOW tokens are also utilized as a governance token, to purchase NFTs, and to access play-and-earn tournaments that will give rewards to top players.
