Guide to the Iskra Community Tier System

Updated as of January 1, 2024

At the core of Iskra being a single-destination hub for Web3 gaming is its “Community Tier System” – a system that rewards Iskra users based on their contributions to the platform and empowers them with a share in the platform proceeds.

The concept behind the Community Tier System is simple – reward Iskra users in a fair, accessible, transparent, and equitable way based on their contribution to the growth of the Iskra platform.

While the overall picture is pretty straightforward, the details of the Community Tier System can be extensive when it comes to how it works due to several different factors involved.

In this article, we’ll break down the Community Tier System into a simple and easy-to-follow guide to get you up to speed on how it works, what’s in it for you, and how you can leverage platform contribution to level up your existing tier.

What Is the Iskra Community Tier System

The Iskra Community Tier System is a community ranking system that rewards community members based on their contribution to the Iskra platform.

Contribution covers activities that involve using Iskra’s platform services like staking, swapping, or purchasing NFTs, or even participating in Iskra events like INOs and IGOs.

Every contribution has a corresponding “contribution point” or CP, and you will be ranked within the five tiers based on the CPs you’ve accumulated but remember — your CPs and tier rank reset every season.

Here are some important terms to keep in mind about the Iskra Community Tier System:

How Do You Join the Iskra Community Tier System

Your Iskra journey starts with you creating your free Iskra account on the Iskra portal. Once you have an Iskra account, you can start using the different features and services available on the platform, including Wallet, DEX, NFT market, staking, and launchpad, as well as participate in different Iskra events.

Once you have CP for using and participating on the Iskra platform, you become eligible to be part of the Community Tier System. It bears pointing out that having the eligibility or having CP doesn’t mean you’re automatically part of the Community Tier System as this works by season and requirements may vary. Please refer to the Community Tier System page for more details and the latest requirements.

How Do You Earn Contribution Points or CPs

As previously mentioned, you can earn CPs by using Iskra’s platform services and participating in events like INOs and IGOs. You can also get CP as a reward for simply joining and playing, like with the Daily Lucky Spin, and in the future this will be expanded to earning CP by playing onboarded games.

Here’s a list of Iskra’s platform services that’s available now where you can earn CP:

Please take note that the CP you earn for each service or event varies.

For staking, the CP users earn through staking ISK and P-NFT are calculated reflecting the actual period of staking. So in the time between the start of staking service (2023-01-10 6:00 (UTC) until present, if you have staked your assets since the start of staking service and have not un-staked, you will see the full CP (e.g. 60,000 CP for 1 P-NFT staked). However, if there is any time period where your P-NFT or ISK was not staked, you may see your CP deducted accordingly for those periods.

CP renews every season. As the new season starts, user’s previous CP history will be gone on the My Contribution Point page. Instead, it will show CP data earned during the new season.

However, If they have P-NFT/ISK being staked at the moment, without taking extra action such as un-staking or staking again, it will show the full CP.

For example, on July 1, if you have 100 sISK from the last season and 1 P-NFT staked, it will  automatically show 100 CP and 60,000 CP on My CP page.

The reason for this is to ensure fair rewards for contributions. The CP rewards should vary for users who staked for only one day compared to those who staked for the entire period.

You can check here how much CPs you’ve accumulated so far, which will work towards the upcoming first season.

What Are the 5 Community System Tiers

There are five (5) tiers in the Iskra Community Tier System, with each tier having its own minimum requirements to be a part of it.

Your CPs and tier reset every season and each season lasts about six (6) months so make sure to keep this in mind if you’re aiming to reach a certain tier. The first Community Tier System season starts on July 1, 2023.

Essentially, the more you contribute to the platform, the more CPs you’ll accumulate, the higher the tier you’ll belong to, and the better the rewards you can receive.

What Are the Benefits That You Can Get From the Iskra Community Tier System

Use the Iskra Platform = Earn CPs = Get Rewarded

In a nutshell, this is how the Iskra Community Tier System works and to get straight to the most interesting part, let’s talk about the rewards and benefits that you can get by being a part of it.

This is an overview of all the possible rewards and benefits that you can get but keep in mind that they vary depending on the tier you belong to.

Note that during the upcoming Community Tier System Beta, all Platform Rewards will be provided to the Pioneer NFT stakers based on their CP share. That is, if you have staked a Pioneer NFT and are part of the Community Tier, the more CP you have, the more Platform Rewards you will receive.

This is partly to test different reward distribution methods for the community, aiming to find an effective approach that aligns with Iskra’s tokenomics and to find the best way to reward the highest contributors.

Additionally, during this testing phase, we can also assess the applicability of this method to other benefits.

Note: Distribution of platform rewards will be done after the beta testing period.

What Are Tier Up Tickets

Tier up tickets are special boosts that automatically promote a user from his current tier to a higher tier and is available as random drops for participating in certain platform activities

To get a Tier Up Ticket, users need to log in to the Iskra portal and complete a certain activity on a daily basis. The tickets will be randomly dropped, and the more they participate, the higher the chance of winning.
