Considered as the leading decentralized exchange (DEX) in the world, Uniswap allows decentralized trading of ERC-20 tokens that’s safe, accessible, and efficient by leveraging their own automated market maker (AMM) protocol to ensure liquidity on the platform.
This is called the Uniswap Protocol and it is an open-source protocol for providing liquidity and trading ERC20 tokens on Ethereum. It eliminates trusted intermediaries and unnecessary forms of rent extraction, allowing for safe, accessible, and efficient exchange activity.
In practical terms, Uniswap is a collection of smart contracts that define a standard way to create liquidity pools, provide liquidity, and swap assets.
Here’s how:
- Go to https://uniswap.org/ and launch the Uniswap app.
- Connect your wallet. You have the option of using Metamask, Coinbase, or WalletConnect.
- Once your wallet is connected, you have two options on how you can add ISK to your wallet feed.Option 1: Type ISK on the token field and add it. Please make sure that you add the correct token when you do so.
Option 2: Manually input ISK’s token contract address to add it. Please note that ISK’s token address is 0x17d2628D30F8e9E966c9Ba831c9B9b01ea8Ea75C and double check to ensure that you entered it correctly.
- After adding the ISK token to your Uniswap wallet feed, you can now swap it for USDT. Iskra currently only supports ERC-20 based USDT liquidity pools.
- Once you’ve swapped the ISK that you need on Uniswap, you can send it to your Iskra wallet. Please check out this article for a step-by-step guide on how to create one.
